  Good room service, large rooms, lots of dishes provided and plenty of beds. Nothing was broken and the power bar next to the bed was a nice touch. Decent location close to the ocean and it is not too far from downtown Powell River. There is a very scenic cliff next to the road on the opposite side of the motel that looks down on the beach and ocean. Tap water was a very slight brown tint at the time of this review, however. If it weren't safe to drink I'm sure there would be a notice posted, but I still drank bottled.

  Do not stay here. There is no air conditioning or fan. The room we were given had a horrible smell. Everything is outdated. The barbecue on site was fro the entire motel - in a different area - and after being told how tricky it was to light there is no way I would use it. Manager refused to refund us after leaving after around 1 hour.

  We had stopped here 3 years ago and at that time is was ok, but this latest stay was very disappointing. It was not clean, dated furniture and battered walls. I would not stay there. All it would take would be some paint, new furniture and flouring to freshen the place up.
